Requiem by Heather Sorenson

On Palm Sunday, March 24, the Webster Presbyterian Church Adult Choir and Orchestra will present REQUIEM by Texas composer Heather Sorenson during our morning worship service at 10:00 a.m. This is a brand new work that was premiered in 2023. This musical offering of praise and worship was commissioned in memory of precious lives lost during the Covid-19 pandemic. It was written to provide hope, healing, and comfort to ALL who have experienced the sting of loss.

Next week, as we move from Palms, through the cross, and ultimately to the empty tomb, this music is a poignant reminder that, like the apostles during the first Holy Week, we do “not grieve as those who have no hope.”
