“Godly Sorrow”: a Holy Saturday Musical Meditation

St. Philip Presbyterian will host an afternoon “Musical Meditation” as part of their Holy Week events. This year’s theme is “Godly Sorrow” (with reference to 2 Corinthians 7:10) featuring soprano Julia Fox and violist Yvonne Smith alongside St. Philip’s organist Matthew Durst. Major works include “Mirror de peine” by Henrick Andriessen for soprano and organ, Hindemith’s “Trauermusik” for viola and organ, music from BWV 18 by J.S. Bach, and other selections. A freewill offering will be taken.
